Our StoryThe history of my family influenced me to begin the work of helping orphan girls and women in need. My parents, as parents, as a pastor couple, gave selflessly and generously to others. Their example made a positive impact on my life. I, in turn, wish to pass that gift on to my children and future generations.
A childhood dream was realized when HOME International opened its first home in 2000. The girls in our care have been rescued from hardship and abandonment. Now they are learning to give to others in need – those in villages close by. This act of kindness enriches their lives in a very positive way. |
THE NEED
Due to various circumstances, many children are orphaned, and girls are the most susceptible to abuse. These abandoned little girls live in the streets, where they become quick and easy targets of corrupt behavior. Without compassionate aid, they fall into the hands of those who would exploit them. There are millions of these children across many countries. At HOME International, we focus our hand of compassion to girls in three areas of India.
THE VISION
The purpose for our homes is to care for girls who have been orphaned, and to provide a positive influence. We give love and attention to helping them heal from the wounds of their past. We train the girls to be mannerly and feminine, hospitable and gracious, capable, and accomplished in their own personal talents. Balancing love and orderliness, we believe that these girls will be tomorrow's leaders–in home, business, profession, or service.
Three homes have been established. The girls are under the care of loving house parents. They are family! We visit each home and provide ongoing training and encouragement to the staff as they love and care for the girls.

THE REWARDS
Each girl has come to one of our homes as a result of hardship in her biological family. In our homes, she quickly becomes a sister to other girls in a similar situation. Sadness turns into smiles as love helps to relieve the pain of their past. They receive training and education, launching them toward a bright future. They are becomiing beautiful young women of purpose and destiny.
