Providing Essentials That Help People Take the Next Step

At HOME International, Inc., we walk alongside individuals, particularly women and children, working hard to regain stability through our Welcome Home Initiative. When someone is ready for a new opportunity but doesn’t have the basics—attire for a job interview, shoes for work, or household items to settle into a new space—we step in with practical support that helps them move forward.

Recently, we provided essentials for several individuals preparing for job interviews, and all three were hired:
A single mother of two began working at a daycare.
One individual was hired at the Zales Outlet.
Another started at the Red Carpet Hotel.
Others we've assisted have gone on to jobs in hospitals, care settings, and office roles. Their success is their own, but we’re grateful for the opportunity to help remove obstacles like not having the right clothes or basic items that could otherwise hold them back. We thank the Lancaster CareerLink, which helped us connect with these individuals to provide what they needed for successful interviews and new jobs.
Our role is focused, personal, and simple: to ensure people have what they need to step out from where they are and into the next chapter with confidence and dignity. You're part of this work when you donate, volunteer, or shop at Welcome Home Thrift & More. Thank you for helping people take the next step, one need at a time.
